Saint Bartholomew’s medallion
Description
The little sculpture of Saint Nilo, as well as Saint Bartholomew’ s one formed the frontal of the altar of the Holy Achiropita in the XVIII c. Further to the dismantling of the altar frontal, almost surely in the first half of the XIX century, both the works were placed in some wooden medallions made by some cutters from Serra San Bruno , working in Rossano during the archbishropic of Monsignor Bruno Tedeschi. (1835-1843).
