Our Lady of the Assumption
Description
The wooden work was made in 1830 by Vincenzo Zaffino, a sculptor from Serra San Bruno. It was brought to Rossano and placed on the high wooden altar of the Cathedral as archbishop Bruno Tedeschi, from Serra San Bruno too, wanted. In 1859 archbishop Pietro Cilento , replaced the wooden altar with a marble one and had the former removed .
